Hunting is our passion. Entertainment comes second nature.

Creating lifelong memories is our goal.

Pheasant

We'll be honest. Nowhere in the state can you find a better day hunt. Our guides are experienced and our dogs run with the best.  Our land is unique to that of other establishments in the state. You won't hunt corn and milo strips sitting in food plots all day. You'll have access to natural terrain our guides know better than anyone. It's a great change of pace from large commercial outfitters.

Waterfowl

It's no secret that spring in South Dakota is a special time. Warm south winds pushing the waterfowl migration back up the flyway as they travel to their breeding grounds. It's when millions of snow geese flood the state. It's when shotgun plug restrictions and daily bag limits are lifted. It's when you can experience waterfowl hunting at its best.

As you lay concealed in our comfortable layout blinds, you'll sit amongst thousands of decoys dancing in the wind as snow geese descend from the heavens and within the range of your shotgun. It's s an experience like none other.

Our guides work tirelessly to put our guests under thousands of birds each day. Join us for a hunting trip of a lifetime.

"Potter's Fields Outfitters were outstanding hosts for our trip to South Dakota. I brought a group of 10 customers and we had an outstanding experience. They were very professional and courteous to our group and did a great job getting us on the birds! The habitat and management is handled well. I look forward to our next trip."

— Darryl W.

"Zach Potter is one of the hardest working guides I have ever been around with a great personality and an impeccable selection of 5 labs. He had complete control over the dogs and put us fields we only could dream about.

The area will surprise you as the variation makes the hiking and hunting far superior to the commercial outfits near Mitchell."

— Jake S.

"My 2016 South Dakota pheasant hunting experience with Potters Fields was outstanding. This is the third time to Potters Fields for me and my party. Zach and his family made us feel like a part of the family.

Our quest was to hunt the wild native pheasants and that we did. Zach was able to put us on birds every day ensuring a high success rate. Looking forward to coming back. Many thanks to Zach and his family for the great memories."

— Mike S.

"I have been hunting pheasant for over forty five years. I can honestly say that Potter's Fields Outfitters is the best I have seen at providing consistently high quality pheasant hunting. I now have many terrific memories as a result of my visits.

I highly recommend that you and your hunting friends create pheasant hunting memories at Potter's Fields Outfitters with Zach and Kim."
